It’s finally summer time and that means one very exciting thing: beach days! I absolutely love going to the beach, soaking up on some sun and making a day out of it. Nothing is worse than being at the beach and realizing you don’t have half the items you need. Here’s a comprehensive essentials list of what you need in your beach bag + my new beach bag for the summer season. Enjoy!
BEACH BAG
First thing you will need is a good sized beach bag to hold all your essentials. Typically a larger tote that makes it easier for all of your things to be in one place. My new beach bag is from Target. I absolutely love this one. It has a smaller zipper pocket inside for your valuables and bigger area for other essentials.

TOWEL
I am personally a towel girl not a chair girl. A towel is just so much easier to carry and just stuff in your beach bag. I got this bright colored one from Walmart and I love it. It is actually big enough to lay on and it is so soft. Also very inexpensive!
SUNGLASSES
It is very essential to keep your eyes covered from the direct sunlight. My new sunglasses are from Kate Spade but I got them from TJ Maxx for a fraction of the price.

COVER UP
A cute and trendy cover up is an essential as well. I love wearing rompers as coverups so I can come and leave the beach wearing them and look put together.
SUNSCREEN
Sun protection is essential especially when you are exposed to sun directly for several hours on your beach day. You don’t want to come back home all burnt. Also don’t forget to put spf lip balm to protect your lips as well!

COOLER
Don’t forget snacks! One of the most important things in my opinion lol. Smart way to bring them would be in a cooler. You can get these cute mini coolers from so many places for cheap and they keep your snacks and drinks cool for the whole day which is nice!

WATERBOTTLE
There is nothing worse than being dehydrated at the beach. Always bring a stainless steel water bottle to keep your drink cold through out the day! I have the hydro flask and that really keeps your drinks cold for hours.
HAIR CLIP / HAIR TIE
When you are having a beach day there is a good chance that you will get hot. Having a hair tie or a hair clip with you will make your life much easier and comfortable. I love matching my bathing suit to a scrunchie.

BOOK
You don’t want to get bored at the beach. I love to just sit in the sun, but it can get boring after a while so reading a good book is a great way to pass the time. Ive currently been reading the Chanel book. I love the fashion collection mini books. Super easy to bring to the beach since they don’t take a lot of space.
